10 am to Michigan Child ID Program
3 pm       at the Masonic Temple
              Sponsor: Sparta Masonic Lodge #334 and The Grand Lodge
              Free child kit includes color photograph, brief video, laser
              scan fingerprints, dental impression, DNA. Update your kit
              every 2 years. All information collected is given to parent or
              guardian.
 

10 am to Railroad Depot Open House N. Union & Mark St.
5 pm       Come and tour Sparta’s 115 year old Depot, Caboose and
               Motor Cars. Fantastic replica model railroad in the Box Car.
 

11 am Kid’s Parade N. Union St.
           Sponsors: Little Caesar’s Pizza & Handy Wacks Corp.
           Kids (and a caring adult) are invited to decorate their bikes, wagons,
           strollers, etc. and join Little Caesar in the parade….or watch it from
           the sidewalks. Helmets will be required for bikes, scooters, inline
           skates, etc. Adults are encouraged to walk with their kids. Line up
           at 10:45 a.m. at Central Elementary (Alma / N. Union) Parade will
           proceed south on N. Union to the Masonic Temple. Popcorn and
           drinks following, served by the Sparta Masonic Lodge #334.
 

11 am to Petting Zoo in Library Park
3 pm       Sponsor: Rogue River Community Credit Union
               All types of farm animals…. Hands on petting zoo while the Jolly
               4-H’ers explain and help learn about these animals. Always
               remember to wash your hands after visiting the animals.
 

11 am to Painting Flower Pots on Library Drive
4 pm       Paint a pretty flower pot. Donations benefit Appleview Schoolyard
               Habitat -where wildfloers, grasses, trees, and children grow!
 

11 am to Myers Schoolhouse Museum at 13 Mile Rd. & Division
5 pm       Special Feature: THE HISTORY OF THE APPLE SMORGASBORD
               For more info, call 887-8535. Permanent exhibits include antique
               woodworking tools, Military Room with uniforms and pictures
               from Sparta residents, Sparta High School class composites, and
               antique quilts in an old schoolhouse setting.

11:30 am to Bike Safety Rodeo on N. Union St.

                    Kids 14 and under are invited to bring your bike to ride the
                    safety course and demonstrate your skills. Certificates &
                    Awards. Helmets are required and will be available for $10.
 

11:30 am to “Apple-opolis” Kids Town in Rogers Park
7 pm             Discover a brand new town just for kids with a bank, library,
                     pizza place, car wash, barn, and more! Fun with fire fighters
                     and police officers! Leave your mark on the grafitti wall!

10 pm   2nd Annual Pizza Challenge. Vote the best tasting Pizza in
             Sparta (while supplies last). Donations will be accepted for
             trying all six of Sparta's Pizza Choices!
 

6 pm to   Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament
Midnight at the North Kent Eagles Club, 186 E. Division
               $50 buy in. Open to the Public.
 

6:30 pm Dee Jay the Clown at the Rogers Park Band Shell
              Stage show with balloon animals following.
 

7:30 pm Pedal Tractor Pull at the Rogers Park Band Shell
             Sponsor: Anderson Insurance Agency, Marty Anderson
             Children ages 11 & younger can compete for trophies & ribbons.
